Gran Turismo 5 Collector’s Edition Announced

06/16/2010 Written by Zak Islam

I told you, Gran Turismo 5′s release date was imminent at E3. And indeed it was as Gran Turismo 5 will be releasing on November 2nd, 2010. In addition to the racers’ release date, Sony has revealed the game’s collector’s edition which features a slew of unmissable goodies.

The collectors edition is filled with content only a collector’s edition should warrant: an exclusive 1:43 scale diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V, in-depth 300-page car guide, a GT-branded key chain, a voucher for five DLC cars, and a numbered certificate of authenticity, all housed in stylish, premium packaging. How much? $99.99 MSRP. Talk about a deal, eh?

The game will be racing to stores come November 2nd, 2010, and will also be in full 3D and compatible with the PlayStation Move.

actually besides the model car nothing in that collectors edition is wowing. liking model cars and gran turismo ill get it but i might always be skeptical of my purchase. why? because im sure like all collectors and pre-order bonuses those cars dlc will eventually be put up for free so now all you got was a keychain, model car, and a guide. now im sure that model car is purchasable now or will eventually make a solo debut. so now your left with a game, keychain and a guide. now the guide might be an actual guide you can buy separately or it might be a guide on the cars featured in gt5.

so i dont need the guide, i dont need a keychain. all i want from that package is the dlc cars, the game, and the model car.

Very nice collectors edition. Looking forward to this game.

  3. If the car was a muscle car instead of a Jap car, you could consider it bought. They should’ve offered choices…

    Oh well.

I’m still a bit lost – the official list of Move games came out, and no mention of GT5?
I heard him say it. I’ve read the articles. I want to see it in black and white from Sony themselves…
