Top 5 Missing Games From Sony’s E3 Conference
Let’s face it, Sony blew us all away during their 2010 E3 press conference with several expected and unexpected announcements. However, they did miss out on a few reveals of games that we all thought would get a showing. PlayStation LifeStyle go through the top 5 missing games from Sony’s E3 press conference.
This may certainly of been a surprise for a few. Lightbox Interactive President, Dylan Jobes, has hinted on several occasions regarding Warhawk’s sequel. It’s only a matter of time till Starhawk gets announced now, then.
The Last Guardian missing at Sony’s E3 press conference was sure a mystery. Undoubtedly one of the biggest exclusives the PlayStation 3 has in its line-up thus far. The game was officially unveiled during Sony’s E3 press conference last year and the absence of the title which is in development by famed developers Team Ico. Guess we’ll see The Last Guardian at the Tokyo Game Show or GamesCom (hopefully).
Not much has been revealed about Rockstar Games’ PlayStation 3 exclusive, Agent. It was announced back at Sony’s E3 conference last year and since then, the game has not been spoken of. So, it would of made sense if Sony shed some more light on Agent at E3 2010, however, unfortunately, they didn’t. Rockstar themselves said they would not be present at E3 2010 so maybe the mega developers will reveal more on the game in the upcoming months.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was another notable non-attendee at E3 2010. The PlayStation 3 exclusive being created by Square Enix is a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII compilation alongside Final Fantasy XIII and PSP title Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Versus was officially unveiled in 2006 and it was surprise that Sony left another one of their big hitters out of their conference.
The image says it all. Before Sony’s E3 2010 press conference commenced, Insomniac boss Ted Price was present, so, as you would think, a Resistance 3 unveil was inevitable, however, it wasn’t announced. One has to take into consideration that even though Insomniac reiterated their solid partnership with Sony for their exclusive franchises such as Ratchet & Clank and Resistance recently, they did sign a multi-platform deal with publishers Electronic Arts. The game they’re creating with EA is yet unknown and here’s hoping Resistance 3 is revealed sooner rather than later.

I would really like to see ff13v…..hopefully tgs will shed some light on it.
Whatever. Once FF14 hits, it will take the world by storm by word-of-mouth (because not everyone will try it off the bat). I was in the first PC beta. I’m telling you. It’s going to be HUGE. It’s the MMORPG that hardcore dudes have been waiting for. Let the kids have WoW. Our breath of fresh air is coming.
Wasnt that surprising that FF13vs didnt make an appearance. Nomura did say a couple of months ago that it was highly unlikely that it would be at e3
I’m surprised that Insomniac wasn’t there at all. Ted Price did mention that they were going to make their dev cycles longer, so I’m guessing R3 just isn’t ready yet. But Insomniac North Carolina has been going for well over a year now, I’m surprised they haven’t showed their game yet. And it’s not the EA game, that’s being developed at their Burbank studio.
I think Resistance 3 will be at GamesCom, after all it must be released around the first half of next year since that’s roughly the time the movie with that billboard ad is released.
My pick out of those five would be Agent. I don’t care about GTA, I love Red Dead and I’m going to enjoy this!
i really wanted gta5 and L.A. Noir to be announced…… it was a complete let down to me for finding out if gta5 is going to be exclusive or not
i don’t get how you can not like gta IV and love red dead , there pretty much the same game, im sure agent will follow red dead , and maffia 2 , open world game , ect. i’m sure the asian games last gardien and ff13vs , will be at tgs. sony proved they could announce resitance 3 any time , maybe they are saving it? or it could be its not ready to show to any one.

That list sums it up pretty well. I really hoped for Demon’s Souls 2, but just a prayer ’cause I know it’s very unlikely plus is from Japan, but oh well. Final Fantasy versus XIII is also a title that could be off that list since whenever it makes a real presentation it’ll be on a japanese stage.
I was looking forward to see Versus and Last Guardian in there too =’(
well, three of those games had already been announced previously… Warhawk was highly overrated IMO, so I didn’t care to see Starhawk. I guess Resistance 3 is all I would have cared about.
Last Gaurdian would’ve been nice to hear some news on, same with Resistance 3 I’d love to see what thats going to be like.
