Crytek Boss Says Crysis 2 in 3D is “More Pleasing” Than Killzone 3
We all know Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 are both going to be compatible in 3D. Crysis 2 will be one of 2010′s first major game available in 3D with Killzone 3 continuing Sony’s 3D revolution early 2011. According to Crytek’s CEO, he has heard that Crysis 2 in 3D delivers gamers a more “pleasing experience” than Guerrilla Games’ Killzone 3. Oh boy.
The statement comes from Crytek boss, Cevat Yerli, where he described his studio’s 3D technology as “magic” to VideoGamer.
In fact, I have heard numerous people say – and I have seen myself – that we have a better 3D experience than other games right now on the show floor. I don’t want to mention any names.
When asked if Crysis 2 offered a better experience in 3D than Killzone 3:
I think it’s a more pleasing experience. People say it’s much more pleasing, much easier on the eye, and it has more depth.
I haven’t seen Killzone, to be honest. I wish I would see it, but they won’t let me see it!
Crysis 2 will be one of the first major games available in 3D in 2010, while Killzone 3 will deliver the 3D experience come February 2011. If they both give a pleasing experience, which I’m absolutely sure they will, does it matter which one is better?

i dont know if anyone has noticed but crytek keeps boasting bout crysis 2 at the same time sort of downing other games and its annoying
True or not, Killzone 3 will still be undoubtedly better in regular non-3D

Honestly crysis 2 does look amazing. I had my doubts but after seeing it run on the Xbox 360 at EAs conference I definitly think it looks better than KZ3 does. I know KZ3 is still in Alpha stages but right now Crysis 2 is looking better. Only shame about crysis 2 thou is the story. It looks to be utterly shite. By the way will crysis 2 have a multiplayer?
They brought in a famous sci-fi writer so the story won’t be bad. Also Crysis 2 does have multiplayer. We just haven’t seen it.
When I saw the Killzone 3 trailer, a huge grin spread across my face. When I saw the Crysis 2 trailer, I thought “Looks like another generic shooter”. I think it’s pretty obvious that both games are going to look terrific, so talking about a 1% difference in graphics one way or the other is laughably meaningless compared to the gameplay. And who’s going to be playing these games in 3-D? One person out of a thousand maybe?
At first I was like, cool this guy is confident about his game being good but 1000 statements later I’m like STFU already, Damn.
I WISH Crysis 2 was like a generic shooter. Everyother game would be much better lol
yes but which game will play better, I know which 1 my money is on. The first 1 crytek didnt have much of a game there even if u had the expensive computer to run it. There’s no evidence even now that this has a good game there either.
Can someone kick this guy from Crytek in the balls and tell him to shut the f*ck up until his game actually proves something besides it’s amazing awesome engine.

OMG he’s doing it again, Mr Sir Crytek Boss when will you learn that talking too much will get you nowhere, worst may even get you down.
I think Crysis 2 will be the best shooter on PC, while KZ3 will be the best on PS3 & it gives me enough incentive to go for both on different platforms if i ever decide to go on FPS games.

The only thing the first Crysis had going for it was gfx. With the NON-stop crap they have been spewing about the sequel, they’re talking themselves out of a sale. Really, they dont know when enough is enough. I hope the graphics get rated a 10 and everything else gets a 2.

LOL I love how Nanosuits, alternative fire options, semi-open world gameplay, weapon attachments and such are all GENERIC. Killzone 2 is amazing as well, but looking at the 3rd, I don’t see much a difference.
I played the first Crysis in around 12 frames per second and I still liked it. The game was different than anything at the time. man you guys are funny, calling Crysis generic. Games like CoD are generic. what are you talking about?
oh yeah and if Killzone 3 has no co-op multiplayer, the game will have been a failure to me.

Good to revisit now that we’ve seen both and guess who shut everyone down? Yup KZ. Game looks leagues better than console Crysis and in 3D. What’s that old saying again…
