Gran Turismo 5 to Release with Two Collector’s Editions

Kazunori Yamauchi’s oft-delayed Gran Turismo 5 is set to release later this year however new details have been let slip about the release of a second Collector’s Edition for Polyphony Digital’s popular racing-sim.

The first GT5 Collector’s Edition will retail for $99.99 and has already been confirmed to include a diecast model of the 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V, a detailed 300+ page book and five exclusive in-game cars as well as some other nifty trinkets.

But in an interview with IVG, SCE India’s Country Manager Atindriya Bose revealed a more expansive version of the game is also on the way.

“[It's in a] really big package with a lot of paraphernalia that goes beyond the game. It’s all car-related, but I’m unaware of the exact contents.”

Look out for GT5, GT5 Special Edition and what we will tentatively call GT5 Hardened Edition appearing on store shelves on November 2nd.
