The line-up for Sony’s motion controller, PlayStation Move, has been further increased as Ubisoft has announced a new PlayStation Move title named Racquet Sports.

Racquet Sports is a multisport game that includes tennis, ping-pong, badminton, squash and beach tennis. A title perfectly fit for PlayStation Move. The game promises to deliver an engaging and interactive experience for experts and newcomers. Racquet Sports is described to deliver an “unprecedented realism and pinpoint gameplay mechanics, bringing every serve, swing and backhand to life while replicating the sporting experience in the comfort of the living room.”

Racquet Sports engages players in 30 rich graphical environments in iconic locations inspired by real-world landmarks, including the beach of Copacabana, the foot of Mount Fuji and the skyline of Dubai. The playing fields come to life with animated backgrounds, dynamic sound mixes and day and night environments. Players will be given the option to perform with eleven different athletes, each having a distinct personality and flair.

In addition, the multiplayer component Racquet Sports allows up to four players to play together cooperatively or to compete against each other. Racquet Sports and the PlayStation Move motion controller will “combine highly precise and intuitive motion control” to deliver an experience to create the “most accurate,  responsive and ultra-sensory gaming experience that will allow players to pull the game out of the TV and into the living room.”

Racquet Sports is currently scheduled for a release this Fall in North America.

here come the wii ports. Fuck you casual gamers. Why not use the technology to create a worthwhile game instead of these half ass games.

i agree with dbigfeet: something for the girlfriend.

but really, why all the hate (TheHater, lol :p)? when there are frends over, who arent necessarily “hardcore gamers”, its nice to have a pick up and swing around type of game. honestly, i am very excited for the Move, not for the hardcore games, but for the casual games that i can just pick up and play with my gf or friends in the small spare times. this isnt to say i wont appreciate a well made FPS for the Move, but PS3 has a great library of hardcore shooters, adventure, etc. Diversity is always good, and will bring new audiences, which is a great thing for the community.

With the graphics it’s a blatant rip off of Wii Sports. Come on at least add a little originality to it.
