Medal of Honor Limited Edition Announced, Trailer Impresses

07/13/2010 Written by Zak Islam

Electronic Arts has emphasized they want to take back the shooter genre with Medal of Honor. So, what does a game trying to regain its genre’s crown need? A limited edition, since you asked so nicely.

The recently announced Limited Edition consists of access to the a weapon utilized by Tier 1 Operators in the field – MP7. While the regular version of the shooter will require players to work their way through ranks to acquire access to the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns, the limited edition will already contain it.

Medeal of Honor’s Executive Producer, Greg Goodrich, stated:

Access to a weapon like the MP7 will allow players to experience a tool developed with the Special Operations Community in mind. With its light weight, high rate of fire and its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle.

The Limited Edition will launch alongside the normal version of the game which is October 12th, 2010. To pre-order the Limited Edition, head on over to the game’s official website.

The PlayStation 3 version of Medal of Honor’s Limited Edition will include a new version of Medal of Honor: Frontline, as revealed during E3.

Canceled my pre-order after playing the MP beta, Don’t like Battlefield and this plays exactly the same.

  2. Blkant says:

I wish I could play the beta because I am so on the ropes with this game. I HATE MW and I think battlefield is ok so Im hoping this will fill in the gap.

  3. TheHater says:

Base on the beta, this game is not for me.

  4. @soldiercell

This doesn’t even plays near as the battlefield series, it may look the same but the way it play is more like a mw1 mix with some bc2 but it plays more like mw1. The only mode thats similar to battlefield is mission since you have to work as a team. But oh well, so far the beta is alright but it feels broken like this game deserved a delay to 2011 instead of this fall. It needs a patch or something because i know it’s a beta but the beta holds problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place. Like the lack of a kill cam or the high amount of lag. But ehh kinda disappointed of EA marketing making this game look like the most realistic shooter yet it isn’t.

Such a let down… iv not really heard any good news about this game yeT…!?!

I heard the single player campaign is using the Unreal Engine… and that’s a huge turnoff for me. I like the Unreal Engine in games that are more fantasy based, like Bioshock and Borderlands (i.e. more artistic, less realistic games), but that’s about it. Havoc is so much better.

  7. @Nootfloosh They have modified the hell out of the Unreal Engine for MoH, almost to the point of it being unrecognizable. With most Unreal Engine games you can tell. Giant, muscular dudes and crap. But they have heavily modified the engine.

I like the Kabul map but I don’t like how this feels. For a FPS you feel disconnected from the character on screen IMHO. MW2 has this perfect and BFBC2 also is great at immersing you in the action – I just don’t ‘feel’ MOH at the moment..

  9. A friend of mine has the beta… and is a huge BF fan like me. He said that much of the text and icons look exactly the same, but the game is missing destructable environments, has major lag (well, its a beta), but mostly feels like a downgraded version of bfbc2. After having fully destructable buildings, I can’t go back. Too much fun blowing up stupid sniper perches, and creating shortcuts through buildings.
