Now that MAG has made its mark on the PlayStation 3, Zipper Interactive has once again taken the helm of development of the series they helped become a resounding success, the SOCOM franchise. A brand new batch of impressive screenshots have been release for the upcoming tactical shooter.
SOCOM 4 is currently scheduled for a release this Fall.

As much as I want to be exited for this game, I just dont feel it. It doesnt look impressive at all, and with the horrible bugs (that they dont fix), mediocre support, and poor decisions that have plagued MAG I have little faith in them.
I agree somewhat with Blkant”s comment. The way Zipper treated its fanbase for Socom on the PS2 has left a bad taste in my mouth. I remember Zipper not communicating for a whole year at one point during Socom 3 regarding a map pack or patch, a whole year. And although I love MAG, it’s riddled with bugs. Zipper really has a lot to prove in my opinion.
well, I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum as these two…I’m really excited for this game. I think it looks pretty sweet and I have all the faith in the world in Zipper. Maybe it’s because I could really care less about the multiplayer aspect, but I do enjoy MAG and the bugs aren’t nearly enough to ruin the experience. Look at how successful MW2 has been and it was WAY worse with bugs than MAG ever was. If there has been lack of support I have a feeling it is more Sony’s decision than Zipper’s. I can almost guarantee that Sony has been pushing Zipper to focus almost entirely on SOCOM 4 considering it is really the first “hardcore” experience that will be available for Move.
