Lara Croft Swings Into Gear With Guardian of Light Gameplay Footage
This summer, Lara Croft is swinging into action, albeit a little differently this time as the new game, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, has dropped the “Tomb Raider” moniker and will be a downloadable-only title. Crystal Dynamics will be staying clear of the classic third-person platforming roots the series is well known for. Instead, the title is aiming to deliver an arcade-inspired adventure. Guardian of Light will also feature cooperative play, and all of this is exemplified in a brand new gameplay trailer.
It was revealed recently that Guardian of Light will be releasing exclusively on the Xbox 360 for four weeks due to a Microsoft deal with Crystal Dynamics. A release date for the PlayStation Network version of the title is still pending, however, one should be revealed in the coming weeks.

I was not hyped about this at all but i was gonna purchase it until i heard that SE and Eidos give 360 better treatment with one or two months exclusivity…so they’ll get the finger from me.Sorry but ps3 users must be treated equally and not with leftovers
They can take their timed exclusivity and shove it, along with their game. Considering some of the good games that came out a while back and are now selling for around $20 new, this thing isn’t even worth waiting for the video to finish buffering.

i just don’t know about this game, i need a review before deciding, yet for the time-exclusive thingy, even if i understand, i think it’s bad for we deserve same treatment, unless goes same was as some games like Eternal Sonata, Lost Planet, etc…
The PS3 version must be treated with more options & become still a good or the best version… else it’s a bad move.

This game looks good so i guess i get it on Xbox360
Microsoft can buy all the exclusive rights it can….they throw money all over trying to get a few weeks of extra sales, and yet they still continue to lose ground.r They cannot stand toe to toe with an honest multiplatform release schedule. This game looks retarded and nothing that Tomb Raider should be.
The XBOX360 vs PS2 is an equally lame argument, as they’ve proven how much more competent the PS3 is over the 360.
They would be better to spend that money on buying their own games to pad their sales. This game will be down to $10 in a few weeks after release.
I’m not sure why they thought this would be a better shooting style then going with the traditional? Possibly much cheaper and easier to recode for extra goodies?

Duhhh, i know Ps3 is more competent than Xbox360. This game does not retarded you idiot – It’s your self opinion. Lara croft and the Gaurdian of life has nothing to do with Tomb Raider. It’ a mini arcade game. Tomb Raider 9 is round the corner then that will be a Tomb raider style.
So what, let microsoft buy time exclusive games. There for it will be good because we can know if there any bug glitch or error that can be fix before coming PS3. You need to grow up and stop crying just because MS trying buy timed exclusive games.

Thank you for the ignorant response. I’m may be going out on a limb here, but I’m guessing that English is not your native language? Lara Croft has always been “Tomb Raider”. This game is similar to making a Lara Croft inspired pinball game.

As far as fixing bugs both systems have completely different coding and require totally different patches to fix the identical bug, if there is one.
I am grown up. Just saying that Microsoft has been trying to buy their way into the gaming market and not actually earning their way. Gears and the original Halo were good, but that’s about it.

Okay i amit that i big fan Tomb Raider series but what i trying to say is that Lara croft and the Gaurdian of life just another little arcade game and it not going to hurt Tomb Raider industry at all. And i will buy Lara croft and the Gaurdian of life because it looks bloody good and it has good ratings awell, But Those who’s not buying it just because Timed exslusive is stupid.
You are right about MS trying to earn more cash by using Timed exclusive but they not achive anything, meh so what MS is stupid too.
I’m not buying it because… well.. it doesn’t really look that great to me. I’ve never really been a fan of these top down games, its a rare one that captures my attention for very long… and considering the previous tomb raider – well, thats even less reason for excitement.
