Warner Bros Reveals Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters

07/24/2010 Written by Cameron Teague

With Comic-Con is full swing, it was only a matter of time until more new Super Heroes got their own video game. Thanks to the massive success of Batman: Arkham Asylum, another DC Comics staple will be getting a game in their name. This time around it will be The Green Lantern. Warner Bros. has announced Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters will release on the PS3 along with 3 other consoles in Summer of 2011.

The game will follow the exploits of the upcoming Green Lantern movie, putting gamers right into the shoes of Hal Jordan for the very first time. I know we say this with every movie tie-in game, but here’s hoping that this one is done pretty well. The game is being developed by Double Helix Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

  1. If they make this game half as good as Batman: Arkham Asylum, it’ll still be worth picking up.

  2. I just gave up on super hero games. Batman da was probably the best superehero game I’ve played, so they would have to do a great job.

Makes you wonder what that 4th Console is. Since we have PS3, Wii and X-Box 360 as consoles in this generation the only other one would be the PS2 or maybe the PSP.

    hello ….

cool i’m a comic fan ;) .. even if Hal Jordan isn’t of my fav, i’ll get to know more about him. I just hope they don’t ruin the game.

I just saw one of the latest videos on DCUO, if ONLY they could reproduce same GFX & FX on the actual game, would be soooooo nice & Green Lantern, even if bruised looked fantastic.

OMG, my hype level is going back up….now where’s that pill …

    cheers!

Hal Jordan? pfffffffft. He’s no kyle Rayner. He’s not the torcherbearer. Plus the movie looks more comedy then awesome super hero movie.
