My fellow Time Crisis fans, do you remember the PS1 and PS2 days of the Guncon? I sure do! I still remember how the original Guncon on the PS1 would allow you to step on your regular controller so that your character could duck behind cover. I also remember having to store the damn thing and all of those annoying cords. Ditto with the Guncon 2 on the PS2. Oh wait! Same problem on the first PS3 Time Crisis. Only one problem…all three peripherals lacked many titles supporting it, meaning all that money you sent on it went to waste once you beat the games a couple of times over. However, things are about to change…The PlayStation Move is here and is ready to clean out your closets and save you some money by first killing off the Guncon!
During some Hands-ons with Time Crisis: Razing Storm at Gamescom 2010, Razing Storm Producer Norihiro Nishimura told GamingUnion.net that they originally had plans for a new Guncon..until the PS Move made them irrelevant.
“We thought about making a new, wireless one. We didn’t make it because Move was released at the same time. It was pointless to make something that can only be played with one of the games while Move can be played with all of them.”
So there you go… The PS Move saved you some of your hard earned money. Not only that, but your entertainment center thanks you too.
If you don’t know what Time Crisis: Razing Storm is all about, let me give you some details. It’s three games in one — Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4, and Deadstorm Pirates all packed on one glorious Blu-Ray plus it even supports the Guncon 3 for those of you who want to get their ‘light gun’ on but don’t want to purchase the PS Move.
Make sure you check out our E3 Hands-on impressions for even more details.

If they don’t come out with some revolutionary shit other than EyePet, I’m just gonna have to totally fast forward past this whole fad.
@Natiej85 Have you not been paying attention to any of the games coming out for Move?
IN ALL HONESTY, I’m not buying Move until I get to try some games and see for myself if there’s any real depth in any of them. On the casual side, let me take Sports Champions, which is part of the starter pack. Casual sport titles isn’t something I’d play for myself, the real hook of those games is playing with a friend, so I’d really appreciate if I can find in that game the kind of features and content I get for a game like High Velocity Bowling, you know? HVB is right now a $5 game, has tons of DLC, online, leaderboards, the works. I wonder if SC has some depth to the gameplay and the variety of features as a cheap PSN game does. If it happens to be the case, I’d really consider a starter pack.
Apart from SC I’m not really into any of the other casual offerings, I don’t care about Sorcery either and I put it in the casual lot too. Well, there’s Echochrome 2 and Tumble, I guess I’m gonna have to give those games a chance ’cause they do see compelling. Hopefully they will be demos for both of them.
On the “hardcore” side. I have considered MLB The Show 10, which is a game that could greatly benefit from Move if done right. I’m not a Socom fan and I doubt I will get into that just because it supports Move. Killzone 3 is a different story. I’m not a big fan of FPS, but if Move make that already awesome game more interesting to play and definitely getting it. GT5 is a must have for me, and I’m not interested in playing it with Move, I’d rather use a wheel instead.
So right now I’m looking at Sports Champions, MLB the Show 10 and Killzone 3 with possibly Echo2 and Tumble as my motivation to buy Move. Considering one of those games is releasing February next year I’m not really sure that’s enough to join the MOVEment from day one. I think the deciding factor will be if Sports Champions can deliver the quality expected from a full-fledged PlayStation 3 exclusive.

what he said
i really think move has alot of capabilities. I have been following that controller since i heard about it and from what ive seen and read, i think this is going to be some really good hardware. If software companies can implement this controller right, i have no doubt that this thing is going to be making alot of peoples move this winter.
Well, I had the original Gun Con for Time Crisis and Point Blank, and of all the third party peripherals I had for PSOne, it was the most well made, and surprisingly accurate thanks to the calibration. I don’t think buying the move will save me any money over this, since it has a lot more baggage than the guncon, and the guncon came with the game at no extra cost. If Time Crisis 4 hadn’t got such terrible reviews, it’d probably be the main reason for me to want a Move.
hello ….
i can’t wait for a hardcore sword or saber light game
…
the gun thingy is OK, can’t get ‘em in black !? (no because a toy must not look like a real one … pb with the law / children & a lot of things i forgot!)
MOVE will be great with casual & some hardcore games …
I’m looking forward for The Fight / Sorcery / Echochrome 2 / maybe KZ3 too (don’t like FPS but this 1 sooo great!)
& I agree with themule for GT5 – you need to get a wheel (a really good 1) ….
But i want 3D to push the boundaries ….
cheers!
hello …
btw anyone can confirm how much cost the MOVE & the navigation controller from your side of the world, as i don’t have any choices but import, i may pre-order on my fav stores. I want the best prices for i intend in buying 2 MOVE + 1 Nav
If i become a member on a site i bought a few blu-rays (HD Movie source), I can get both for less than 43$ & 26$ respectively, but my google search just spawned so may links i’m lost.
