When Lords of Shadow was originally introduced briefly by Konami in 2008, no one knew what to think about it. Truth is, Konami had planned for LOS to be the new, radically different Castlevania reboot all along, but wanted to keep it a major secret, which is hard to do nowadays with internet(s). Boy howdy was the gaming world in shock when LOS turned out to be the new game and the fact that Hideo Kojima Productions and Kojima Productions were helping supervise the game, it immediately became a triple-A title.
