Last week, Sony released firmware 3.41 for the PlayStation 3, which enabled suggested downloads in the PlayStation Store. Drats. Clean that dissapointment off your plate, my friends..after the ESRB leaked that NBA JAM would be coming to the PS3, we’re here to report that the rumors are true! There’s a small catch though..you HAVE to buy NBA ELITE 11 to get access to it. Boomshakalaka your way inside for the full details.

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

With Sony trying to convince consumers that 3D can be as impressive in gaming as in movies, what better way of showing off the technology’s capabilities than to have it implemented in the award-winning, industry-defining series that broke the record for the number of times critics used the words “blockbuster” and “cinematic” in one review.

Visceral Games Plans to ‘Sabotage’ the Dead Space Series
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Think about this for a minute..Dead Space is slowly, but surely, becoming EA’s biggest franchise behind Madden NFL. Sure the first game’s sales didn’t reach the numbers that they should have (EA blames the used game market), the game has a very solid and compassionate following now and EA isn’t afraid to throw plenty of tie-ins our way. What to know what happened to Isaac after he made contact with the marker? Buy Dead Space’s second animated film, AfterMath. Writer Christopher Shy is ready to tell you the tale of what happened to the USG Ishimura after Isaac made his escape. Dead Space: Ignition is an interactive comic-book style prequel that hits the PSN this fall. Dead Space: Sabotage is..oh, wait. Hold your necromorphs. EA nor Visceral Games have announced DS: Sabotage, have they? Read about this discovery inside before you get your head severed!

BackBreaker Sacks The Competition With an All-Pro Update
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

EA’s Madden NFL rules the world of Football gaming with a mighty grip. Early this summer NaturalMotion attempted to challenge the Madden Empire but fell short of greatness. Don’t get us wrong, our very own Joseph ‘The Coach’ Peterson gave the game an above-average score in his Review. Too bad other reviews weren’t as forgiving as us, as the game was hammered by many, but those that played saw the potential the series had. Like any good sports team that is aiming for the Championship, NaturalMotion has taken fan-feedback and has produced one helluva attempt at giving their game an All-Pro Update with a mammoth patch that will take to the digital field soon!
