Good things have a habit of returning to us with time and this definitely holds true with the reveal that developer Just Add Water is releasing a revamped HD Version of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath on the PlayStation 3 next Easter.
Originally released back in 2005 for the Xbox, Stranger’s Wrath will now be releasing as a download only game on the PSN. JAW boss Stewart Gilray had this to say to VG247 about the upcoming game.
“Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.”
The good new doesn’t stop there though as the game will feature Move support, additional material, re-mastered dialogue and will run in smooth 720P. With the reveals also comes a few new screenshots which promise to wet your appetite.
This is incredible. I love it.
Can’t wait for this, one of my favourite games of the last generation.
Wonderful to see OddWorld live on!
never got the chance to play this one, now i will have no excuses not to. looking forward to it is an understatement. =D
This was one of the few Xbox exclusive games I REALLY wanted on the PS2. Glad to see it’s finally making it’s way to a PS system. I’m a tad disappointed it’s download only, but I’ll live.
i’ll live with it , no reason to waste a full blu-ray disc on somthing that only takes a few gigs. but being able to play it on ps3 in hd with trophy support sounds alot better than playing it on the orignal xbox.
awesome. I remember being incredibly disappointed when oddworld went from playstation to xbox,,, I’ll finally get to try this one out.
