Many Final Fantasy fans (the ones not attending Tokyo Game Show) had their hopes dashed when viewings for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII were held in private sessions. In spite of the negative reactions, Square Enix felt that the viewings behind closed curtains was well within their reason.
Both of the hotly anticipated titles were demoed at Square’s TGS booth, and sadly, Square wouldn’t allow the recording of any demonstration of the game. However, some attendees managed to sneak recordings of the Final Fantasy’s demo clips, but those videos have since been removed from YouTube.
Square Enix promises all the disheartened fans that more information will be available, but for now their wish is to only treat the Tokyo Game Show crowd.
“There will be lots to see of both games in the future, but for now we’d like to keep footage as a special treat for TGS attendees.”
That info will likely be coming at a conference that will be held in January 11th, as we expect Square to finally shed some much needed light on those two titles within the Fabula Nova Crystallis series.

YEAH WELL JUSTIFY FINAL FANTASY XIII’s first 25 hours AND THEN we’ll talk.
WOW ive been waiting since E3 for any info and it looks like SQUARENIX just gave me the finger thanx alot
Of course they justified it. They’ll also justify when versus goes to xbox. Their word just doesn’t mean anything anymore.
Enix, it was so much better when you were Soft. (Get it?)
what gtamaster said 10 fold.
they owe the ps3 userbase one exclusive taking the full potential out of the Blu-ray
360 already has some and they have other exclusives as well in store from them,Gun Logo as an example.
Why they’re giving everything to Microsoft no matter what is beyond me.Are they so spoiled by Microsoft taking funds from them to develop? Can’t they just use their own budget like many developers do?Are they so naive to think that they’re expanding to the West that way and that the core of the 360 userbase really cares about JP games and especially JRPG’s?They’re losing their time and they will lose their fans somewhere down the road.
l want to see it now
I don’t care. I just don’t even care. I don’t even want Versus anymore or Agitato. Square can go jump.
It really is on THEM to sell me this or any game of theirs for that matter. I have absolutely no faith in SE anymore after XIII. They have lost their way completely. I didn’t even bother buying XIII. Borrowing it off a friend and playing 10 hours was enough. I wasn’t going to pay for that and actually try and play anymore.
Why SE still doing this closed mega theater, they should know already that nothing good comes from this, what, are they afraid that some other company will steal the idea from a video????????? please if SE dont put a 2011 for AGITO & FFvsXIII and EXCLUSIVE ON PS3…
@noctis Maybe Square can’t live on their own since the spend more on developing the games they sell than what they make in sales. They are treading water until they can figure out how to deal with the PS3′s full power.
@SPD55
If that’s the case they would better figure it out fast because they’re losing their fanbase.I don’t think that’s the reason though i do believe that they choose primarily handhelds this gen and the 360 because they’re much easier to develop and they’re not up to it for a decent next gen title. After all they were the ones who said that making towns, cities on a title in an HD platform is very difficult for them and consumes a lot of time.
The irony of this whole mess they are into this gen is that their handheld titles are decent while their titles on the Hd consoles are disappointing and the best part is all of their Hd titles are on 360 and not on ps3.Coincidence?
Personaly i think Sony should step up on this.Sony may think too that SE is a lost cause this gen. It’s obvious that they do not support SE like they used to.But i think they should take the risk, give them a last chance, seal a deal with them with Versus, cooperate and help them in R&D,fund them and also help them promote the game throughout the world not just Japan.
If SE and Versus get their full support from Sony i think the results may actually be quite satisfying for both and for the audience. If it doesn’t meet their expectations they move on and leave SE on their own.But at least they should give them a chance and take the risk.
Because as it seems SE is falling apart being indirectly in Microsoft’s hands
