F1 2010 Ships 2 Million Copies, Launch Trailer Released

Codemasters has announced they have shipped two million copies of F1 2010 to retail stores worldwide – consequently becoming the developer’s biggest launch ever. The launch trailer has also been released.

Chief games designer, Stephen Hood said on the Codemasters’ official forum:

“We pushed the development period as far as we could… we’re always very aware of what’s being called for. Sometimes I feel as though the gap between F1 games has played against us because people have had so long to imagine all the features they’d love to have in their ideal F1 title.”

Check out the racing simulator’s launch trailer below.

F1 2010 will be racing its way to stores this Friday.

  1. Hopefully they sell! The game was impressive at E3, I just wonder if there’s that big of a market for this game.

Face it. CodeMaster probably had to rush out this game if they want to sell it before GT5 hit the shelves. “We pushed the development period as far as we could…”, yep… I know. Now watch Criterion with NFSP-HP launching 2 weeks after GT5.
