    Man, that is pretty nice.

This should be the official GT5 PS3 bundle PS3. This is like a million times better than the blue paint job.

  3. Blkant says:

    Blue PS3 Slim looks better.

    $48?

I think I’ll stick with my Dust & Muddy Feline Paw-Print finish thanks.

I will never cover up the beauty that is my glossy black PHAT PS3 with silver accents…I can understand why people would want to cover up their flat black Slims though

  6. KwietStorm says:

I can’t understand why people still have this “phat” PS3 superiority complex a year after the slim model was released

  7. Gino-Lnt says:

@KwietStorm. Because fat ps3′s seem to be much more beautiful than the shitty slim model.I have a ps3 since April 2007 and I have bought 4 phat ps3′s until now.Original 60gb,ceramic white, satin silver and piano black 80gb..And they are all the most beautiful hardware that Sony ever released…,,That’s the reason why people are still buying the original model…

  8. man that looks sexy too bad i already have a ps3. oh wait that is a skin for the top of the ps3. im getting it!!!!

  9. GEEEEZ $48? uh, I’ll go get out the acrylic paints well before that.

  10. The slims PS3 are pretty but that PHAT ones are pretty hot and tempting.

you guys sound like lil kids

  12. The original phat 60′s are superior/more useful for two reasons. They have twice as many USB ports, and you can use the MULTIMEDIA/SD card reader.

Other than that they are similar, except for weight and power consumption(60nm with the older cpus, and 45nm with the newer slim models).. Too be honest. My slim has frozen on me only a few times, but it is more than my original ever did, albeit I did have to clean my phat ps3 more often.

This website has thee best skins for your ps3′s. http://www.decalgirl.com/category.view/Playstation-3-PS3-Skins

As for the GT5 skin…yawn. @beatkilla; I agree with ya.

    +! for snxpinwhitey
but you forgot to mention the overall reason the originals 60′s are better – for the BC.

I know its beating a dead horse, but this is one of those rare times that the original had more features and was better than the new one. HDD size has nothing to do with it. I’ve dropped 300+GB HDDs into PS3 no problem. The extra USBs and the MediaCard slots are really really nice (especially now with 4 DS3 controllers and 3 Move controllers + PSEye.

The finish of the new slims have always turned me off. The outside is the only really difference between the 2008 40GB/80GB models and the 2009 Slims, and I think that the matte finish and the physical buttons (instead of touch sensitive buttons) make the Slim just seem cheap. And the fact that people like me have been waiting for GT5 since I bought my PS3, stuff like this faceplate make me a little upset that people try to forget about the original PS3.

  14. I really, really miss those extra USB ports. And B/C, but I’ve made that point especially clear by now.
