Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam Priced, Trailered

Electronic Arts has announced that the expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, entitled Vietnam, will be released for $14.99 on the PlayStation Network. A new trailer for the DLC has also been released.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam is currently scheduled for a release this Winter.

I seem to be the only one sort of disappointed by this “expansion”.
It really just seems like a themed map pack and they threw in some weapons and vehicles so they had a reason to charge for it instead of giving us some maps for free.
I agree.. Unless the DLC is rather sizable, it is just a few new maps with diff guns and vehicles. It would make more sense to put a different mode for the game (zombie mode yum) to make it worth $15 eesh.
For me it depends entirely on whether or not there is going to be a small single player story that comes in the package or not…if it’s only multiplayer I won’t be shelling out $15 for it. To me this also shows some lack of creativity on EA/DICE’s part. It’s like they just wanted to release some sort of Vietnam pack in response to Black Ops, rather than coming out with something more original that probably would have been an even better competitive response. It’s kind of strange to me actually that the COD franchise is doing Vietnam before Battlefield. It just seems like the personality that Battlefield puts in its characters, as opposed to the COD characters really having no personality, would suit Vietnam better considering society at that time.
You need to get you facts straight. Battlefield did Vietnam long time ago, oh and did you know that Battlefield did Modern first. Lol like i think people discovered Battlefield with Bad Company and think thats the only one. Look up Battlefield on Wikipedia and you will see a huge variety of battlefield games from Vietnam to modern to even futuristic.
I’m talking solely about Bad Company. The older Battlefield titles are different animals altogether.
i wish it had some single player stuff with it like a mini campagin or somthing but if its just online only i don’t play it enough to make it worth while , if you play it than its worth it , but if you hardly play it than no.

WAY WAY to late…. Had bfbc2 from day 1 clocked all diffs then did about 200+ hrs online then sold for MoH… On top of that after about 2mnths the server went to shat, So its another NO THANKS here!
I’ve been waiting for this for awhile, because they were calling it an expansion. I got the new GI last night and it had an article detailing this “expansion”. Its four maps in conquest and rush mode, with 10 new Vietnam weapons, tanks from that era, and a helicopter or two (you obviously see one in the video). I assumed all this time it was going to include a single player campaign since they used the term “expansion”, because traditionally that’s what that means. Now I’m on the fence – $15 is really steep for four maps (Thanks MW2 for setting precedent you bastards!), and most of my friends that played have moved on to other games. Seeing as how these are the first new maps that are actually NEW, I’m curious, but without a squad, whats the point?
Too bad everyone else isn’t getting sick of EA and Activision as much as me.
Then we wouldn’t have to deal with this crap.
One can hope, eh?
