Can you reformat the article and turn off centering it is hard to read that long list as a centered document.
Man, do they really have to have that many bronze trophies. They can’t shift a few of those to silver. I mean some of those bronze sound like they should be silver or gold, it just shows that Japanese developers don’t really care about trophies as much as NA or EU ie. MGS4 & Valkyria Chronicles (actually I don’t know how EU feels about trophies and achievements).
But man, some of those bronze trophies sound ridiculously hard.
The GT-R Official record trophy looks ridiculous. Does that mean you have to get that exact time? So if I beat that time, I won’t get the trophy. Ridiculous. This will just be one of those games where I ignore the trophies, just like Demon’s Souls.
Well just beat it and go to the finish line and wait. Haha. No. That IS freaking ridiculous.
They can’t just shift some of them from bronze to silver. That would mean they would delete some trophies. One silver equals two bronze. I’m glad they did it this way, so that we get more trophies.
Both MGS4 and VC came out before trophies. Kojima said he wanted trophies and 3D supported added to MGS4. Racing games always have a odd assortment of trophies, specifically with many bronze. GT5 is an insanely large game, it only makes sense that they would add a trophy or so to every little area, to get people to explore the game more to achieve them.
I was one of the ones who got Platinumed Demon’s Souls, and I can safely say the trophy assortment was perfect for the game. What is more absurd is a game like MAG’s trophies (which I also platinumed), or even worse Warhawks and Wipeout HD’s (another racer I might add).
Lastly, who gives a damn, they’re nothing but little pictures in the end.
I know those games came out before trophies. But there have been other games by “western developers” that have come out before trophies, and then they added a trophy patch ie. GTA IV.
And it’s fine that they have trophies for every little area to explore the game. It’s a smart thing to do, but they can switch a third of the bronze trophies to be silver and gold while the requirement and the names are intact. Cuz some of those seem hard to do and I would like a greater fake reward for achieving them.
And I never said that the trophies for Demon’s Souls were bad. They were just way too damn hard and way more time consuming for me especially. That was all. I loved Demon’s Souls and tried to make a go at the trophies, but then after like 20 hours, I said “this aint happenin.”
I see what you are saying, but it just doesn’t really seem fair to say other countries though, because there are many in the US that are the same. A good example would be Resistance: Fall of Man. That game was pretty much the first PS3 game, and was to this day a near legendary title for the PS3, yet they never bothered to patch it (granted, ted price is a desperate money grabbing megalomaniac who destroyed a great series to make it main stream, alienating the majority of its fans and followers, in order to increase sales). Sorry… I had to rant that one real quick.
Really very few bother to go back and do it unless they are apart of or close to sony (i.e. Uncharted, Warhawk, Super Stardust HD) and as we have seen with the recent new box for MGS4 (and what he has said he wanted) it is possible it might even be getting trophies for that title.
I would say really its the companies that are the issues, not the countries or regions.
Also, that one trophy for GT5, I would be willing to bet its beat that time or meet it, after all, I think beating it would be hard enough all on its own
Hahahaha, I actually read that first text in parenthesis super fast in my head and than afterwards it was the “Sorry…” (I was ROFL stomping all over the place).
But yeah, I just wanted to see a good looking trophy distribution for one of the most highly anticipated games for my precious PS3. But if anything, I guess we should be discussing what to do if the game doesn’t come out this year *sharpening pitchfork*
Well with people in EU already getting their hands on it, and the shipments to france etc… I think it should be a somewhat safe bet that it will release this month or early next month. But if it doesn’t… I don’t want to know how many of us will react… It has just been so long, and to get screwed when we were so close…
But hopefully that wont happen ^_^ (at least its more likely than ever that we’ll see it)
As for the gtr trophy you just need to equal or exceed the record time. So if you beat the time you’ll get the trophy!
Man, that’s a lot of B-spec races to sit through.
