Splatterhouse Screens Shock and Awe

11/10/2010 Written by Adam Wolfe

The original Splatterhouse hit the TurboGrafx way back in 1990. It was an extremely bloody sidescroller which was rarely seen in those days, so much so that it was actually toned down and censored for North America. Fast forward to 2010, and Namco Bandai is bringing Splatterhouse back with a whole new bag of tricks.

With Splatterhouse set to release in a mere two weeks, on November 23rd, we are treated to some rather gruesome screens. The screens focus on the new Splatter Kills. These kills show a scene where the player initiates a special kill to attain massive amounts of blood and gore.

I loved the TG-16 version. One of the very first games I play through multiple times. Absolutely loved it. I hope they take the music from the original, updated it and it’s just as spooky. I’ll be buying this out of nostalgia, and because it looks like it is going to kick ass.
