Electronic Arts has released an all-new trailer for the forthcoming Fight Night game, Fight Night Champion. The publisher has also revealed a US release date for the boxing title.

The début trailer for the game, which can be viewed below, reveals a US release date of March 1st, 2011. Fight Night Champion will feature around 60-65 fighters, a promising new single-player mode as well as the improved punching controls entitled ‘Full Spectrum Punch Control’.

With EA Sports MMA selling so poorly that it was considered “DOA”, Fight Night remains their most successful fighting game, but are you excited for the next game in the franchise? Let us know in the comments below.

that’s probably the best trailer for a fighting game I have ever seen…I think a solid story following your career is the single biggest thing missing from most “create a character” modes in sports games. If you want me to really care about improving my character then provide a story that I have to progress through rather than just train a few weeks, fight, train again, fight, etc…Maybe the trailer is misleading, but it seems to me that EA is including a story in this one.

  3. Congatulations Manny PACMAN Pacquiao!!! on your 8th championship belt!
