After LittleBigPlanet 2‘s delay from this November into January, 2011, Sony and Media Molecule have announced that PlayStation 3 gamers can still play the sequel this Christmas via a demo.
A playable demo of LittleBigPlanet 2 will be released on the PlayStation Store on December 22nd, SCEE has announced. The demo will offer a glimpse of the game’s new Story Mode levels as well as the some of the new gameplay types the developer has introduced. The Grapple Hook will be featured within the demo and players will also be given the opportunity to play some score-based multiplayer mode.
Even though it’s not the full game, Sony made a right move in releasing a demo so fans can get a short snippet of the full product. LittleBigPlanet 2 is currently scheduled for a release in January, 2011.
actually…they maybe should have released one earlier as maybe more people would have pre-ordered the full game as a late present. There have been a few times where I have asked for a game that was releasing 1 or 2 weeks later for my birthday/christmas presents. I’m sure there are still people doing this with LBP2 but it makes you wonder if they released the demo this next week how many Christmas lists it would have been added to…
If you release a game in January your not hoping people will buy it for a late x-mas present, your banking on people to buy it with all the gift cards they got for x-mas.
That’s good but I thought it was the 21st
this article mentions the SCEE, so he’s talking about Europe, which means it probably will be the 21st for North America…which would be SCEA
