Gearbox’s Borderlands has celebrated a great year of entertaining its fans in the chaotic world of Pandora. With four expansion packs already unleashed, the title boasts around 3 million copies sold worldwide. And that success begs the question: should there be more DLC to continue the adventure?
Randy Pitchford, CEO and Co-Founder for Gearbox pitched that question to his Twitter followers earlier this month, probably toying with the idea (and with our minds) about another DLC pack for Borderlands.

So, “should it be?” Or should they focus on the heavily rumored Borderworlds? As much as new DLC sounds appealing, many would have a whole new title sooner. The joyrides across Pandora were amazing, but it’s definitely time to start searching for loot elsewhere.

Must agree really, have played all 4 DLC and they are all brilliant for their own reasons. The last 2 being the better ones. I’m sure they could keep improving on bringing great DLC, but i say save it for this ‘borderworld’s and bring out a new game.
I’m all for more Borderlands DLC. I actually thought the last DLC was way too short. Not really many quests at all. My psn is tortured3 if anyone wants to add me. I havebtons of games.
FIX THE BLOODY ONLINE CHAT.
EGGBOX LOVIN GEARBOX
I’m a huge Borderlands fan, but I have to say the last DLC just didn’t entice me nearly as much as the others. I’d much rather have Borderlands 2 than new DLC.
My Girlfriend and I have completed all DLC for Borderlands.
I can safely say ClapTrap DLC wasn’t that great.
Knoxx being the best, it failed to compete with that, but was still really fun.
Though I think it’s time for Borderlands 2.
Though my only restraint is the fact we’ve spent SO MUCH TIME on collecting SO MUCH GREAT LOOT!
Great game until you try and play online!! The chat is almost a 100% fail everytime (cuts in & out etc)! Gearbox return e-mails saying ‘USE A USB HEADSET’ why & more to the point it doesnt fix the problem? Every other game works!?! So no shove ya DLC until you fix problems that have plagued this title since day 1 release…. AND THEY RELEASED A GOTY EDITION WITH NO FIX!?!
Anyone else found this problem stinks up the online play??
Well… I’d say yes if the Gearbox team actually does it this time. They did the first three, but Robolution was outsourced to another dev (forget the name at the moment). The only reason I’d want another one though is if they put new weapons in it this time too, but I know they won’t rebuild the loot tables for the rest of the game, so even then I’d be stuck farming just the new DLC for the new weapons. So, while another DLC would be great fun and all, and they’ve done well in the past, I’m ready to hear they’re working on a sequel. There’s a ton of improvement and new ideas (Borderlands forum is really active with cool ideas), and to implement most of them you need a whole new game.
