Killzone 3 Collector’s Editions Storming Europe

If you’re a PlayStation 3 owner and currently reside in Europe, it might be wise to start saving your cash or couch diving for spare change. When Killzone 3 makes landfall in your territory, you will have some awesome choices at your disposal.

Guerrilla Games recently announced that Europeans will be getting two collector’s editions of Killzone 3, while the US will only be shelved with one collector’s option.

The first collector’s trove will be the basic Collector’s Edition, complete with a “SteelBook” packaging, that will bundled with a voucher code that can be redeemed over the PlayStation Network to download the full Killzone 3 soundtrack, a dynamic XMB theme, and a Retro Map Pack that will allow you to revisit two battlefields from Killzone 2.

If you you’re convinced on picking up this edition, placing a pre-order at select retailers will only get you more stuff! After placing your pre-order on a Collector’s Edition, you’ll get another voucher code that will give you one of the following bonuses:

  • Guerrilla Pack

Unlocks all weapons and abilities for your first 24 hours of multiplayer gameplay.
  • Fast Starter Pack

Lets you rise through the ranks faster by earning experience points at twice the normal rate for your first 24 hours of multiplayer gameplay.
  • Unlock & Load Pack

Gives you 3 unlock points to use on any weapon or ability you want.

And last but not least, you can also nab the Helghast Edition, which will come packed with a hand-decorated Helghast helmet, the swag from the “SteelBook” Collector’s Edition, a 100-page art book, and a DC Unlimited action figure of the “cloaking” marksman. You’ll also get all of the previously mentioned pre-order bonus packs.

As of now, no list of retailers has been released yet, and neither has a date other than sometime in February. However, Guerrilla promises to have more information posted on their pre-order page once more details have been confirmed.

Remember – it’s still not too late to get your Christmas list compiled. I know you want that helmet.
