Soulcalibur is Back with Even More Soul

12/25/2010 Written by Jonathan Leack

Namco Bandai’s Soul series has seen its fair share of success, with fighting fans having been entertained by the sleek, weapon driven combat of the series for over a decade. As you’d expect, the series is far from over, and its producer has announced yet another exciting new title.

Katsuhiro Harada, producer of Soulcalibur, has let it be known that Soulcalibur is back, and a new title for the series will be coming soon. The Tweet by Harada states the following:

SC is back! Get ready, fans!

Since this is all that has been officially said about the forthcoming title, we aren’t positive that it’ll be for the PlayStation 3, but it seems likely. The Soul series has seen the PS3 console once before, back in 2008, but for now, we’ll have to wait patiently and hope that this stellar fighting series finds its way back onto Sony’s console in the next release.

  1. I traded my copy of Soul Caliber IV back. Why? Well lackluster online and no trophy support, meant that I just didn’t get around to playing it much.

Bring back the console exclusive characters!

    Travis Touchdown on Wii
    The Arbiter on Xbox 360
    Raiden on PS3

You know you want it (well the Wii probably can’t handle SC series, that’s why Legends was released on it… but still, a man can dream, right?)

been centuries since I enjoyed a Soulcalibur game, SC2 was real good with a nice weapon quest mode, SC3 had some good ideas (wargame) but very badly implemented, SC4 had such a poor weapon quest mode I didn’t even try it (and being a multiplatform game just killed my interest as it had to be “not better than the X360 version” anyway)
no idea how they can raise my interest again
