Shift 2: Unleashed Shows Some American Muscle

02/25/2011 Written by Jonathan Leack

If you’re a fan of American muscle cars, then Slightly Mad Studios is here to say that they haven’t forgotten about you. Shift 2 Unleashed isn’t just about European supercars like Pagani’s Zonda (picture above), Ferrari’s artistically-sound 458 (arguably the best car per dollar in GT5), and Lamborghini’s four-wheel drive monster that even your grandma can drive (note the Top Gear reference) auspiciously named the Gallardo, it’s also about you, the hard-working American. Who doesn’t like a 5.0L V8 producing over 400bhp with a pitch black paint job?

The latest Shift 2: Unleashed screenshots are below, and they include the Ford Falken Mustang, as well as the Ford Mustang RTR-X.

Shift 2: Unleashed is off to the races on March 29th in North America, and don’t fret European auto-fanatics, as the minor delay only pushed your release date to April 1st. In the meantime, do some more Nurburgring hotlaps with Gran Turismo 5‘s latest patch while preparing for the new kid in town.
