If the early access to demos, discounts and exclusive content wasn’t enough to make you subscribe to PlayStation Plus, this newest feature might just be the icing this cake needs to become the sweetest thing yet.
Starting on tomorrow, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to 150MB of “Online Storage” for game saves. 150MB or a maximum of 1000 data files.
This new feature comes via Firmware 3.60, which is set to arrive on March 10th. Once users have updated their PS3 to the latest firmware (3.60), PlayStation Plus subscribers will have the feature automatically enabled.
Maybe the best news here is the fact that “Copy-prohibited save data” will be supported, finally giving users an option to back up these game saves.
To utilize the feature, follow these helpful instructions:
To back-up:
- Select [Game] > [Save Data Utility].
- Focus on the save data you wish to back up.
- Open up the option menu using “triangle” and select [Copy].
- Select [Online Storage] as the destination of back up.
To copy:
- Select [Game] > [Save Data Utility] > [Online Storage].
- Focus on the save data you wish to copy.
- Open up an option menu using “triangle” and select [Copy].
