Prior to last year’s E3, Ubisoft had kept extremely quiet on I Am Alive; so much so that fans of the intriguing title speculated it had been canned. Well, it’s still alive and new screenshots have been released.
I Am Alive is a forthcoming action-adventure title currently in development from Ubisoft’s Shanghai studio. The game was originally scheduled to be released on multiple platforms including the PlayStation 3 in 2010, but much to gamers dismay, had been delayed into 2011. I Am Alive‘s story revolves around the game’s main environment – Chicago – where a major earthquake destroys the whole city while any remaining continents suffer from a water crisis.
The new screenshots for the game are below:
I Am Alive, as previously stated, is currently scheduled for a release in 2011.
Glad to see this game is still alive, no pun intended. I’ve been interested in this game since the first time I saw it so many years ago.
I wonder if they released these in response to IGN latest version of their “Life Support: Games in Danger” article that listed I Am Alive as “comatose”
I have been waiting for information since… who knows when? many years ago as DMGilchrist mentions over here. I’ve been loving everything about it so far, so i am just so curious to see if the graphics and physics are good. Good animations and landscapes is a must in this type of game.
Cute girl and a cool man as characters too. I like it!
Splinter Cell Conviction would be your best bet to check out if you want a little taste of what it could be like. Last news I remember was that it will be using the same engine as that, so it’s more likely the physics will be the same than visuals. And at risk of sounding like a dick it was only like last year this news came out although early last year im pretty sure, and DMGilchrist was referring to when he first heard of the game which really was a good few years ago.
Thanks! i’ve played Splinter Cell: Conviction by the way.
Well I’m glad this game is being developed still eventhough I have no idea what it is.
Yeah Will Smith still has a video game in his future…
could be a very immersive game if it’s done right, meaning lots of suspense, and not a lot of fights, would be better if the hero can’t hope to win in a fight and has to flee and hide
Sounds really interesting. It’s great that there are still a few action/adventure titles being made these days. I was starting to wonder.
