Uncharted NGP Squeezes in Between the First Two Games
Naughty Dog has revealed some fairly juicy details on the upcoming Uncharted game for the Next Generation Portable, that is being developed by Sony Bend. The biggest reveal was that the game would take place between Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
In an interview with gameblog.fr, which was then translated by Eurogamer.fr, Naughty Dog co-president Christophe Balestra stated that Uncharted NGP will “most likely” feature interactions with Uncharted 3, which is set for release in November of this year.
The story of the game is described as “parallel” and will hopefully explain some of the mysteries between the first two games, such as what happened between Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher. Balestra also said Uncharted NGP will feature a different vibe and rhythm to the game then it’s PS3 counterparts in an attempt to allow people to play in short bursts. He goes on to say that the game will feature more exploration and fewer gunfights.
A story between the first two games sounds like a great thing and would do well to tie up any loose ends. We are just as excited as you are over this title, so stay with us for more information as it is sure to be revealed at this year’s E3.

i cant wait till it releases.
I’ve never been interested in hand held game systems but this might be enough to push me to buy a PSP or whatever they’re calling the NGP

Well if thats true then I guess we can expect the ending to be anti climatic. The motion comic was a prequel so that would have to be included in the story somewhere. Unless this game is supposed to be before the motion comic.
isn’t that great…they want to force me to buy an NGP just like they forced me to buy a PSP so I didn’t have to miss out on pieces of my favorite franchises.
Sony Bend is the same guys that make Resistance for the PSP or was the South Bend. I know it was something Bend. Either way, from the play throus I’ve seen in the past. I’m extremely excited about this game, don’t really care when it took place in the story line or just a from outta nowhere side tale in the same universe. All I know is that I love the cut scenes the gameplay and the all around feel of the PS3 version. Now if that can get that same vibe going. I might HAVE to have one. Fingers crossed from Netflix and Vudu, or either or. I’d even take whack ass Hulu Plus, which is kind of a ripoff but whatever. People gotta eat, lol.
This is awesome news and all but I was hoping this Uncharted game for the NGP was based on the Uncharted comic, Uncharted: Eye Of Indra but it looks like thats not happening.
The NGP is going to be so awesome….. Have you guys seen this game in action…..? Its hard to believe a handheld helding so much power…….
