The Mortal Kombat series has made its glorious return to form with its latest release, the simply-named Mortal Kombat. It featured a return to the series’ roots, and the efforts of NetherRealm Studios resulted in a resounding success. Some new DLC is headed our way soon, and features nostalgia galore.

In the latest trailer which can be seen below, the first DLC for Mortal Kombat is referred to as the “Klassic” pack. It includes all previously released pre-order content. So if you bought from a certain retailer early, you can now get all the other retailers’ DLC. There will be seven pre-order character skins inspired by costumes of old, including skins for Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kintana. In addition, there will be old-school fatalities available for Reptile, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero.

Available beginning on June 7th, it will be priced at £3.19/~$5 USD/400 Microsoft Points on PS3 and 360.

This Mortal Kombat dlc seems pretty cool if I had the game I would definitely download the “Klassic” pack. On a side note, since when did NetherRealm Studios add gameplay footage of Anthony Severino fighting into their trailers :D .

This stuff is already on the disc. It’s BS to charge $5 for it.

I know I’ll upset a lot of Mortal Kombat fans here but is showing off what the MK characters used to look like really a good idea? I remember the original having a lot of character who were really just Scorpion with a slightly altered move set and differant coloured clothes.

They’ve made them all original but it seems like if it was me who made those games, I wouldn’t want people to remember how bad my characters used to look. For me it’d be like trying really hard to make a good picture and having your friends show people how bad you used to draw.

Or to see how far they have come since mk was released.

  7. I hope those sick combos come with the costumes
