Skarlet Unleashes Blood Lust in Mortal Kombat

05/31/2011 Written by Tyler Minarik

Skarlet is finally ready to enter the Mortal Kombat arena for the first time, and when she does, everything gets drenched in blood.

What more could you want from a secret character who never truly existed, than for them to make their debut in the most gory and visceral way possible? Well, for them to be fun to play as of course, and while we wait to find out a video of Skarlet’s incredible agility and blood splattering moves has made it our way. Don’t blink, or you just might miss her.

Skarlet was originally a glitch from Mortal Kombat II, which caused a red palette version of Kitana to appear, leading many to believe it was actually a secret character. While no true playable version of the character has been available to date, the upcoming DLC addition will come with a completely unique move set, including the x-ray moves and fatalities. Currently no official date has been announced for the character to join the MK roster, but with the noticeable ad stating she’ll be seen at E3, and other content releasing on June 7th, our chance to have Skarlet drown our opponents in their vital fluids can’t be long off. Are you excited to play this long awaited, glitched inspired Mortal Kombat fighter?
