Ubisoft Announces a New Far Cry, Demoes On PS3

06/06/2011 Written by Sebastian Moss

At this year’s E3, Ubisoft has unveiled a new, multiplatform Far Cry. The game will return to the jungle of the old games, rather than the African environment of Far Cry 2.

Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft Montréal said:

Far Cry 3 brings something new and unexpected, while still building upon the foundations of excellence that are inherent to the Far Cry brand

Whether you’re already a fan of the Far Cry series or jumping into the franchise for the very first time, you’re going to be blown away by the gritty story and epic adventure we’re going to deliver.

Far Cry 3 is being built at Canadian studio Ubisoft Montreal, as well as Ubisoft Shanghai and Swedish dev Ubisoft Massive and is set to release next year.

I haven’t played any of the Far Cry games so I don’t know what to say about Far Cry 3 but I do want to see footage of Far Cry 3 in the future.
