PlayStation Vita May Not Hit Stores This Year

With only a $249.99/€249.99 price tag, many gamers are interested in picking up the super powerful PlayStation Vita. Sony previously stated that PlayStation Vita will release by Christmas, but Jack Tretton may have revealed otherwise.
During an interview with Geoff Keighley, Jack Tretton was asked if PlayStation Vita would ship globally this year. Tretton replied, “this fiscal year.” When Keighley asked him what he meant by that, Tretton said he was referring to the fiscal year that ends on March 31st, 2012. Keighley pushed him to further specify when the PlayStation Vita would release, but Tretton wouldn’t say anything more on the matter.

Yeah, I saw this interview and it sounded like US would be this year, worldwide by end of fiscal year. He wasn’t that specific about regions, but he didn’t contradict that it would be out for the holidays.

I WAS going to comment on this entry but the god damned full screen advertisement pissed me off too much.
I know you’re making money off this site, Sev, but don’t make it a pain in the ass to get my gaming information from PSLS. I mean, the ads before EVERY video that’s posted, the incessant BS ads that overwhelm my screen or redirect me to an advertisement page before I’m even PERMITTED to read what I want… I won’t go on, but shit, man, ENOUGH’S ENOUGH!!!
Agreed, anything that pops up should be avoided. Especially when it’s a scam, like the fake antivirus ads it used to redirect to (haven’t seen them in a while).
Kaz isn’t an idiot; he specifically said “this holiday season” and he was talking to an American audience in America. Tretton talks to stockholders and is trying to cover his ass, is all.
