Uncharted 3 Beta Now Available For Everyone, New Modes Added

If for some reason you didn’t have an active PlayStation Plus membership, didn’t have a voucher code from inFamous 2, or weren’t one of our lucky winners, then you missed out on the Uncharted 3 beta last week. You don’t have to feel left out any longer, as the beta is now available for anyone to download. But that’s not all.

On top of being available to download by anyone and everyone, Naughty Dog has enabled two new modes in the Uncharted 3 beta. New for this week will be ‘Team Objective’ mode and ‘Co-Op Hunter’ mode.

If you’re like us, then you’ve been playing the Uncharted 3 beta all of this holiday weekend, and can’t wait to check out these new modes.

The hunter mode is really a change up and made it fresh all over again

  ya know, I was a little disappointed, it just kinda felt like 4 player plunder to me. I kept getting confused and shooting my AI allies too, and then when I was a bag hunter it was really confusing to be facing AI enemies who were really weak, and then encounter a human enemy who’s suddenly much tougher and much smarter. Maybe I just need to play it more, but I’d rather if they just cycled plunder back in.
  And where’s the new map? Yemen was supposed to be available, I didn’t see it last night…

    Yeah the Co-Op Hunter mode is a lot of confusing with the mixture of AI and Human opponents. Since the only thing differentiating the two is the read PSN ID when you get close enough to see it. I end up shooting my clip on the AI thinking it is the Human and I end up getting slaughtered from the blind side by the Human.
    Also when you start as the “Bad Guys” you start out with a “Automatic” version of the 9mm Para and the “Good Guys” start with the M9 + one grenade. So that will have to be dealt with but All in All the game is a great to play.
    And the Yemen Map is coming on the 10th for the last week of the Beta (according to the time line on the PS Blog article).

    Ah, I must have read the blog incorrectly… I thought they were switching the map in for a couple days and then switching it back out… thanks for pointing that out.

Been playing team objective with my girlfriends brother and I’m converting him from 360 lol hes liking it. Co op hunter is interesting but playing against people who don’t know what they are doing is horrible, it can also be horrible playing with people who know how. I haven’t had this much fun with a game since Metal Gear Online
