Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta Surpasses One Million Players, New Map Coming Soon

The Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception beta launched on June 28th to PlayStation Plus members and inFamous 2 buyers, but it was not until this week, on July 5th, that the beta went public for all PlayStation Network users. Now that the beta has been under way for a little over a week, Naughty Dog has revealed some impressive statistics on their latest project.

Just one day after the beta was open to all PSN users, the multiplayer beta surpassed one million unique participating players. Since the beta’s release, the developers have made great strides in ironing out bugs and have even discovered major flaws in the matchmaking system of the game. However, even though the beta is ending in less than a week, players have yet to play everything the beta has in store for us. On July 10, Naughty Dog is adding a new, never before seen multiplayer map set in Yemen. On top of this, the Cooperative Adventure mode is also going to be added for gamers to test out for the very first time.

Along with the reminder of the beta’s end date on July 14th, Naughty Dog is also advising players to reap the rewards from the beta, such as the Uncharted 3 PSN Beta Tester Avatar and Treasure Hunter’s Starter Pack, along with in-game cash for the full release of the Uncharted 3 multiplayer component.
