Codemasters has released the first official F1 2011 gameplay trailer and with it we get a great look at the cars, drivers, and scenery one might find at a racetrack. Codemasters really looks to have stepped their game up with this latest installment as things look great so far.
F1 2011 will follow the 2011 Formula One Season and feature all 12 teams and 24 drivers that will start the 2011 season. The entire calendar of 19 circuits will be available to race on and the game will feature a max of 16 players online with an extra eight AI drivers. A co-op season mode is said to be available on release along with a time attack mode.
F1 2011 is set for release on September 20th in North America and the 23rd in Europe. A PlayStation Vita version is in the works and a release will be announced soon. Let us know in the comments about how excited you are for F1 2011 to release.
I feel the realism is so much better on GT5, out of this sole trailer of course. Really, after buying the Ferrari F1 2010, I REALLY wonder WHY PD didn’t put F1 as a special event with more different cars. DLC? That would be awesome.
The answer to your question is simple. Polyphony Digital would have to license each and every car from their manufacturer. And licensing the league doesn’t cover the cars apparently, at least according to Iain Bell (from SMS).
Thank you for your answer! I still put my hopes somewhere in the hands of PD. In my opinion, Gran Turismo is trully limitless by each new car bought, each new seasonal event added, each track’s variants tried and each car’s options tweaked. Like you said, then F1 is probably “just” a licensing issue… as it was with Porsche.
I’m looking forward to the latest game. I’m curious if the mid-season rules will also be implemented mid-season in the game.
I’ve heard lots of good things about the 2010 game so I think I might pick this one up.
what happened to the graphics?? i dont know .. i doesnt seems good ….
