There are almost a dozen high-profile games releasing in October of this year, such as Dark Souls, Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City, and the Sims 3: Pets… OK, maybe not that last one. As of today, there will be one less game on October’s full plate.
Darkness II was originally scheduled to release on October 7th of this year. 2K Games has announced that Darkness II will now be pushed back to February 7th 2012 for North America, and February 10th for all other regions. 2K Games did not give a reason for the delay, but confirmed that Darkness II will still have a playable demo at Comic-Con. Darkness II is going to be a launch title for the Wii U, so maybe 2K is pushing the title back to be closer to the Wii U release.

Looks kind of meh from the trailer.
I didn’t like the first game, and I don’t have much hope for the sequel.
It’d be nice if Starbreeze would start working on a full fledged sequel to riddick instead of this…
Extra time for polish never hurts anything.
I think 2K Games pushed the Darkness II back because they knew if they released The Darkness II this year it would be completely forgotten about due to higher profile games like Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3 just to name a few coming out this year.
