Sony Gives the Lowdown on 24″ 3D Monitor Bundle in Detailed Video

The 24″ 3D monitor which was announced at E3 this year has incited a bit of confusion lately, but Sony is here to clear things up on the extremely affordable 3D entertainment solution.

When Sony originally announced the 24″ 3D monitor earlier this Summer, it was shown alongside some cool extras, one of which was a full retail copy of Resistance 3. Within a month or two, it appeared that instead of Insomniac’s Resistance 3 it would come with Motorstorm: Apocalypse, a completely different game by a separate first-party studio.

A new video has been released which advertises the upcoming monitor, and it appears that both sides of the story are accurate. The package will include Motorstorm: Apocalypse, but those who choose to pre-order the bundle before September 30th will also receive Resistance 3 for free. Now that’s a steal.

After closer inspection, the monitor is definitely a Sony product with its extremely slick, modern design and feature set. Oh, and yes, the monitor has both speakers and a subwoofer built in. Also, as mentioned in the video and at E3, the bundle will include high-quality 3D glasses which will retail for $69.99 otherwise, and an HDMI cable.

Unlike originally announced, this 3D monitor bundle will release in November. However, if you’re feeling confident that you’ll want to pick it up eventually, you’ll want to pre-order it before the September 30 date so you also receive Resistance 3 for free.

    What about EU customers?

This is a great deal considering everything they have packed within one piece of equipment but I have a couple of concerns…1. I don’t know where a 24 inch TV fits in my house. The only place I can think of that a 24 inch would be suitable would be my bedroom, and how often do I need to be playing games or watching 3D content in there?? 2. There is an inherent problem with every multi-function/all-in-one device…If one part fails, the whole thing is worthless. I think I would want to wait at least a little while and make sure this unit can last, with a new design you just never know.

  3. Does anybody has more information about this playstation TV, at the moment my Full HD TV is twice better than this apart form 3D

It’s seem this playstation TV only have latest input feature which is bad, no S-video or compoment cables or others input device, so how the hell i gonna play retro console like sega saturn, dreamcast, PS1 and PS2?

I wonder if is this playstation TV can upgrade texture graphic in hi- res for retro console? because my custom HD TV is able to do that.

Im hoping someone can give me more information about this PS HDTV,
