Battlefield 3 is less than a month away from deploying, and it will mark the first time since March of 2010 that we’ve seen a main release from the Battlefield series. With time to spare, the game has become available for pre-order on all three platforms for a stellar price.
Newegg has a deal on the pre-order of Battlefield 3 which nets you the game on October 25th for only $47.98, a full $12 off of the MSRP. Free shipping is available, as well as several other options to ensure you get the game as quickly as possible. Simply enter the following code during checkout to receive your discount:

Pre-order copies are immediately upgraded to the Limited Edition, which will contain a code that unlocks four classic maps from Battlefield 2, along with additional trophies and more. The Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand pack will otherwise be available post-release from the PlayStation Store, but at a cost. If you’re enjoying the beta, then there’s no reason not to pre-order to the game and make sure you save money on your purchase.
If you prefer to order from Amazon, they usually price-match big deals like these after a few days. It isn’t certain, but there’s a good chance they’ll include a $10 or $20 promotional code in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
What a rip off! I wouldn’t pay 1 cent for this Garbage!
You are obviously a troll, get off the whole topic of BF3 and go to your gay ass mw3. pay for your dumbass elite.
@n00b you’re such a predictable idiot. i won’t even call him a successful troll. he is not worth a worthy title as such. just your regular, everyday, run-of-the-mill ASSHOLE. a dirty one at that. go home to mommy boy, you need a diaper change.
please keep me updated on the amazon thing. Also noob why is it garbage?
Not too shabby but I already pre ordered at gamestop and I’m planning on paying off the game next week so I can get double powerup points for the game purchase
The amazon info was reassuring at the end.
I have like 30 dollars in amazon credit saved up for this beast of a game.
the beta is dissapointing
U3 looks to be a better option
imo
I wouldn’t say disappointing but in my opinion it’s just another FPS. I was one to say BF > COD. I fell into the hype but after playing the beta I realize it’s nothing more than another shooter. I expected a game changer, something new to the table. I fooled myself. So, disappointing or even bad, no but the same. The same people who will jump from FPS to FPS looking for that first hi they got from their first experience. Yes I just compared FPSs to being a drug.
The beta is a beta, DICE even said the beta was an old build of the game and a lot of the problems we are having are all ready fixed. Also the map they have for the beta does not make it feel like a battlefield game. I was talking to people who have pc and were playing casbian border and they said it was 1000 times better. So I think we just have to wait fro the final game to see how it turns out.
saying the final version has the problems fix, then Dice is just stupid by giving new comers a reason NOT to buy the game. most gamers dont care what they say, they only play the beta and go. meh not worth it
Yeah I’m not worried about any of the problems in the beta. I’m saying It’s still a FPS not generic but more of the same.
pre-ordered mine at amazon. really excited for bf3.
Another glitch filled flop like Resistance 3 imo and they’re pulling lies out their ass to keep people biting, why would you release a beta for an older build of the game?(kinda irrelevant) they aren’t even working out the kinks with the new build so how do we know the retail version won’t be a glitch filled pile of junk? I’ll wait for reviews and feedback on this and if I decide to get it it’ll be bought pre-owned. For f**ks sake is gears 3 really the only good solid shooter to hit a console this year? Every ps3 shooter has failed this year horribly, R3 failed @ 16 players with lag and atrocious spawns when R2 didn’t have such issues(nice step BACKWORDS rofl) and Kz3 was a generic FPS with beautiful graphics. Hopefully U3 will be good enough for me to dust my ps3 off for
exactly!!!
saying “oh the final build is almost perfect but we released a broken beta just because…”
makes no sense. The game will be closer to the beta than we would like
and that for me is a no buy
That is fine if you are not going to buy it, but a beta is a beta. The fact of the matter is that the build for this beta is old. If you play on the pc it is a lot better, because they don’t need to wait for sony and microsoft to give the okay. They can just upload it straight online. Also for the resistance 3, it started out bad but then they patched it and fixed it. That is the point of a beta, is to test the game and find these problems
it seems like some people here don’t seem to know the difference between a beta and a demo. this beta was to test server load and gameplay stats progression and also to test their new battlelog. that was all. no beta is without glitches people. the reason we were given the beta was to provide feedback. yes the final build is leagues and bounds ahead of the beta, as you all know there is a battlefield 3 $1.6million tournament going on right now. and let me tell you people, it is on a final build of the game that smashes anything that we’re seeing now. DICE cannot afford to let BF3 fail, it is their flagship franchise and one of sweden’s main exports. the build for the beta is OLD and many of the core features have been disabled. bear in mind that this was the very same map they tested for PC in alpha. so they gave consoles the same map to test the same things they tested for PC to keep the variables equal. it may not have been the best game mode to explore all that a battlefield game can offer, but it is a mode that anyone from any franchise can play easily. anyone ever wonder why Activision NEVER releases a beta? because they know their MAJOR fanbase are kiddies that will not know the difference, so they release a demo of their games 6-12 months after they patch and tweak the retail version so ppl can get a true feel for the finished product. yet ALL COD games are full of bugs and glitches to this day, never hear guys complain about how horrible that is. DICE gave us an opportunity to TEST. and there have been many changes since the beta released if you check their battleblog for the details. This is they way ALL battlefield games are done. shameful that you guys can’t tell the difference between a beta and a demo. as mature gamers (assuming most BF players are 18+) you should know better
For the sake of arguing…. Why would they test stress an old build? Wouldn’t they want to make sure the final build can withstand the stress not an obsolete version never to be played again? With that logic I would call it a demo ¦^) Shame on you for believing everything you read/hear lol
they tested the exact same thing for PC. have you ever done a science experiment in school? you need the same variables on your base to determine the effects on a whole. it is not a matter of believing what i read. i have played every battlefield game and this is how their betas are. it is not to represent the whole game it is there to test specific things within the build to facilitate the changes that are to be made later on. we are not the architects of their software, who knows if this particular stage (Operation Metro) may have been a “template” of sorts that they use to test certain architectural aspects of the game engine. Remember the consoles NEVER had an alpha test period like they did for PC. Hence the reason the PC version is done. consoles have certain certification processes b4 they can get patches done, so a beta is necessary. trust me we will have a day one patch on release. this is by no means an actual representation of what the final game looks like, just do some searching on the internet and you’ll see for yourself how different the newer versions are compared to the beta. you my friend have no idea what a beta is, it is the same things that game testers have to play months before games are released, full of bugs and glitches and holes in the software. ask any game tester and they’ll tell you, betas are USUALLY horrible in comparison to the final game. have you ever seen the mishaps at various game shows when they try to tech demo a game in beta stage for the press? strange shit happens – live on stage in front of the media, and it is sometimes embarrassing for the companies. a demo is a representation of the final product a beta is definitely not. i think lots of people were EXPECTING demo quality in the beta and therein lies the problem.
Good to hear you have an actual opinion. I have read the same comment for certain topics at least 4 different times today. You get tired of the same copy paste arguments. Thumbs up
obvious troll is obvious. i have never pasted this from anywhere. why don’t you go and continue to ride activision’s D!cK. you fail at posting a valid point towards your argument, and that’s the best you can think of? no wonder you’re so stupid to think a beta is a demo. i apologise for trying to educate an idiot.
How sad. I was being sincere to you for having like I said Actual Opinion. Did you see in my first reply to you when I said “for the sake of arguing” meaning I will argue with you for fun. Maybe I could of expressed my sincere better but I was just saying I see copy paste arguments all over and I gave you a thumbs up for not doing the same.
I haven’t played a CoD game since COD4.
So, anyone that talks down to Battlefield must be an Activision/CoD fan?
well i’ve played ALL the COD games and to me they lost their soul after the first modern warfare. maybe i misinterpreted what you said. trolls have plagued the forums lately – especially for everything battlefield related. my sincere apologies. i am sorry for what i posted
No problem, sucks everyone is on their guard now.
yeah it does. trolls ruin everything sensible. forums everywhere have become their playground.
@human: no not anyone just the one that have no valid points to make in a battlefield thread
