Dead Space 3 Plot Points Leak, Spoilers Abound

10/04/2011 Written by Alex Osborn

Poor Isaac Clarke. Electronic Arts can’t seem to keep much secret about the necromorph-slaying engineer’s upcoming outing. If you can’t contain your excitement for Dead Space 3 then read on, but take note, there are some serious SPOILERS that follow – if this rumor turns out to be true.

Last week, a source apparently revealed that the bulk of the game would take place on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, but it looks like that isn’t where players will begin the game. It appears that Isaac is in a bit of a bind at the outset of the game. With a warrant out for his arrest, Isaac has no other choice but to accept a mission from the Captain. Naturally this mission is to travel to Tau Volantis and rescue a damsel in distress with Ellie at his side.

Perhaps the biggest bit of news to surface about this game is how the main character has changed. Isaac is now plagued by a split personality where “Shadow Isaac” torments his better half. There’s a lot of potential here for Visceral Games to do some unique and creepy stuff, so there’s a lot to be excited about in light of this news. Oh yeah, you can expect another “marker” to pop up in this game as well.

Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more information on Dead Space 3.

Shadow Issac? Sounds a bit like Dark Jak…ugh.

    • I immediately thought of the Dark Prince in the PS2 Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Whenever you don’t play as him, he’s in the Prince’s head messing with him and giving him crap about the way he fights.

i would like to see some 2-player co-op with issac and ellie, or maybe issac and shadow issac. though that would be hard to explane, issac fighting necromorphs with his imaginary friend. but it would be really cool though. awe screw it, issac and ellie 2-player co-op. do it EA!

  3. i would prefer them to support the next dead space more than the last. another story dlc or two wouldnt have killed them
