Rayman Origins Demo Set to Hit the PSN Next Week

11/04/2011 Written by Alex Osborn

Ubisoft’s beautifully illustrated side-scrolling platformer is only a couple of weeks away. In an effort to tide gamers over and give them a taste of what is to come when the game ships, a demo for Rayman Origins is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network next week.

Starting November 9th, PlayStation gamers will finally get a chance to experience one of the best platformers of the year and see what all of the fuss has been about. With a bright and vibrant visual style, the world of Rayman has never felt more alive. The decision to take a step back from the 3D platforming seen in their prior titles and take a more retro approach has certainly paid off.

The maps in the demo include areas from the Jungle, Food and Ocean worlds. As an added bonus, dedicated Rayman fans who manage to collect nine Electoons will score a new costume.

Does anyone know how big the file will be?

Can’t wait! I saw a review that gave it a 9.5/10 for the Wii, I’m sure the other versions will be just as good. I doubt there’s too much of a difference in them. Supposedly, it’s the best Rayman title yet. I guess we’ll see soon! Gonna pre-order to get Beyond Good And Evil HD (or whatever it’s called). Didn’t really care for the demo of it too much, but I suppose a free game might not be too bad, maybe I’ll like it if I played more.
