Modern Warfare 2 is Coming to PSN Next Week

11/24/2011 Written by Tony Wibowo

Following this week’s release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the PlayStation Network, Activision will be releasing Modern Warfare 2 on the PSN next week.

Six minutes into the PS blog’s podcast, the game is confirmed for PSN, although no price point has been given. COD 4 was released a few days ago for $19.99, so this title will likely have a similar price.

A few days ago, Sony changed the changed the policy for downloading games on PSN store down from five systems to two systems, upsetting many multi-console owners. However, if the recent releases of digital version of full PS3 games (such as Red Dead Redemption, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and Call of Duty) are any indication, this can only mean good things for people who support digital distribution. Come on Sony, release that Killzone 3 multiplayer already!

Are you guys willing to double dip so that you no longer have to move from your couch in order to enjoy some Call of Duty? Let us know in the comments below.

When I was listening to the podcast and heard them say that, I thought they got mixed up and meant that the original Modern Warfare was released on the PS Store.

  2. Question here: I know they told us about the system activation policy change, but has it happened yet? I want to know because they said you could activate / deactivate systems online once it changed.

    • I didn’t buy any games since the new rule took effect, but I know that in description of games pages where you select buy, add to cart, etc they changed the part where before it said five systems to two systems.

  3. How bout Call of Duty 3 thats the only next gen call of duty I have yet to ever play?

  4. EcHo says:

MW2 is garbo, COD4 and Black ops only worthy titles of a purchase…

  5. killzone 3 multiplayer??? Why not the full game??????
