Vita Won’t Let You Browse The Web While Playing Games
We previously covered some of the awesome multimedia functions of the PS Vita, like being able to play music while playing your games. Unfortunately, this multitasking ability does not extend to the built in browser.
Similar to the PlayStation Portable, you will have to exit out of your gaming session in order to surf the web. I’m pretty sure that if Sony gave players the ability to surf the web while gaming they’d be dying a lot more. – you can’t exactly complete a game of WipeOut while looking at hilarious pictures of cats.
If you absolutely must do multiple things at once, the PS Vita will allow you to access music, Twitter and your friends list while playing games. Sony may patch the web browser to work alongside games in a future firmware update, but are you annoyed at the initial lack of support?

I don’t see this as a big deal. You can’t surf the web while you play a game on ps3 either.
I agree. And the Xbox 360 doesn’t even have a web browser, so I’m fine. It’s what the Playstation Vita does have that I’m excited about. Can’t wait!
I can’t think of a single reason as to why I’d want to surf the web while playing a game. And if there’s something that I absolutely needed to check as soon as possible, I’d pull out my smartphone.
They are going to absolutely have to get to work on that…I want magic. There are plenty of times that I would love to pause and look up some obscure Japanese blade, or what some french expression implies, guess it deoends on the type or complexity of games you play.
I would only want to go to brower for game info like how to get “X”. It would be a nice add on maybe in the future but most of the time, i will be looking up info from the laptop anyway.
It’s not a huge thing. It’s probably to preserve the memory so it doesn’t overload. It’s not desperately important to be able to multitask that much, the fact it has quite a few multitasking features is great anyways.
OMG! I can’t browse the internet and play video games at the same time! It’s 1994 all over again!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I can easily use my smartphone to browse the web! Problem solved
few, I can still access twitter while I’m playing my games. I’d hate to have to leave my game to inform people I’m playing my Vita.
Well the reasons for wanting such feature:
1. Every mobile phone today can multitask
2. How you gonna look for a trophy guide or smthn?
