The Last of Us Officially Revealed, Developed by Naughty Dog

We thought we knew about the PS3 exclusive The Last of Us, but how much did we get right?

After Keighley said that the game was coming from one of the “top 5 studios in the world”, it has been revealed that the game is in development by Uncharted developer Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog!

The short trailer, which was introduced by will.i.am, showed a world taken over by nature, and seemed to be survival horror. There were humanoid, mushroom face human-monsters everywhere. Also shown were two main characters hiding from them – a little girl and an older man. Presumably her dad. They said “all we do everyday is survive”.

    Considering that Naughty Dog is making this game, I’m already expecting greatness from it. Even though I probably shouldn’t. I still can’t wait for it though!

    That just makes the Uncharted games better in my opinion, because they’re high quality games, and during the development of all 3, they were making this game. That makes the quality of the Uncharted Franshice better because they were also working on another game the whole time.

    i knew it it’s ND. but i was waithign for a PS4 tittle not a ps3…
    i mean i’m glad and the game looks great. But i already want ps4 and now i know it will come sometimes around 2014 if we are lucky.

    I was expecting a release year… I doubt it’s coming 2012. I hope it plays different from the typical third person shooter thriller game, like Resident Evil…I wouldn’t like it to play like Uncharted either, and want it to be a real thriller like the first Silent Hill or something along those lines.

      How long ago did they say that? Also are they not allowed to change their minds? And why would a one franchise per generation even be a good thing considering how stellar this company is?

    well then Mister Tellouck from GameOne was right then … humm, the fact that the channel belong to same group as GT/etc … could be for something …
