Rumor: Epic Mickey 2 Might Be Heading To PS3 In 2012
Epic Mickey is arguably one of the most memorable titles to ever grace the Nintendo Wii, and because of that, a lot of gamers were hoping that the title would be ported to the PS3 after the arrival of the PS Move in 2010, but so far no announcements have been made. However, PS Move owners may still have a chance to play Epic Mickey, but rather than getting the first game, they might be able to get Epic Mickey 2.
Stitch Kingdom allegedly received a Disney newsletter that accidentally leaked the information regarding the existence of Epic Mickey 2 for PS3. Although the link no longer displays the part where they mentioned Epic Mickey 2, Game Informer still managed to snatch the description of the game:
Disney Epic Mickey 2 is the latest game in the critically acclaimed Disney Epic Mickey videogame series. In this all-new action-platforming game available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, Mickey embarks on an epic journey and is pulled back into a world filled with Disney’s forgotten characters. Players can choose to play single-player as Mickey or for the first time players can also choose 2-player split screen mode. In the 2 player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – Walt Disney’s first cartoon star – with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges. Team-up and choose your path to save this forgotten world because the choices you make will alter the story and change the end of the game!

I’ve never played Epic Mickey, but when I read this part:

The mention of the 360 makes me skeptical.
I never played Epic Mickey but I do remember all the praise it received. If this is true I hope PS3 owners will get the first game free with the purchase of a new copy of EM2. Like other devs/publishers has been doing.
I can’t wait. It’s going cool to have Epic Mickey 2 on the Sony PS3. It would be even cooler if they also make the PS3 version of Epic Mickey 2 PS Move Compatible as well. I did found out that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit will be a playable character. That will be awesome because I’m a fan of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
