Composer Lists God of War IV On His Resume
Rumors about the existence of God of War IV have persisted for some time now, claiming that the game is in development and also that it was allegedly supposed to be revealed at E3 last year. GOWIV may actually be in development, though, as the title has recently appeared on the resume of a composer.
Timothy Williams is an award-winning composer who has worked on quite a number of notable projects (including 2009′s Up in the Air starring George Clooney). Williams has a section on his resume where he’s listed video games that he’s worked on as well — games that include a Transformers title from Activision and Rise of the Argonauts. In this section of his resume, Williams has listed God of War IV. He has written that the game is “upcoming” from “Sony Entertainment.”
God of War IV has not been officially announced by Sony. If there are any updates on GOWIV, PSLS will keep you posted.

I know Kratos’ story is supposedly over with 3, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what they can do with another game. I loved them all. You did have to, uh . . . . please Aphrodite(?) in the third game . . . maybe you have a Hercules-type son or something. — Or maybe they somehow tell us that Nathan Drake is the descendant of Kratos and make God of Uncharted. You never know . . . . well, we probably do . . . . . . it’s a no.
God of Uncharted??? I don’t like the sound of that. Nathan exploring the ruins of Mount Olympus in search of Panthora’s Box? That could have potentials.

haven’t played too many god of war games huh? RE: you link. they addressed the story of deimos, kratos’ brother, in god of war: ghost of sparta on psp, and now ps3. they changed it up a bit from that though, like a lot of stuff that was bonus material in the first god of war.
Aren’t cast and crew members of big budget projects like video games and movies have to sign an agreement that they will not leak information? I see this as leaked information since the game has not been officially announced, even though most GOW fans knew this was coming.
Considering the great reviews for these games, as well as all the money they raked in for it, it’d be no surprise if they decided to make another game. I’m sure they’ll find some bizarre way that Kratos isn’t dead….

originally dave jaffe wanted kratos taking down every deity of every religion. so you would be fighting jesus, ra, odin. all of them.
I think in GOW4 they should go with a new world order now that Olympus’ reign is over. A new all powerful God rises, and after millenniums pass and the old history is forgotten, amidst the chaos the new rulers have brought upon the Earth, Kratos is somehow resurrected or his soul brought back because he was the last remaining son of Zeus, and only he was able to contain both the power of hope and chaos that toppled the ancient Gods. Something like that, only this time it’s gonna be a whole new original mythology created from the ground-up by Sony Santa Monica, no more Blades of Chaos or chains, no more “Ghost of Sparta” and fighting Greek mythology beasts, none of that. Not the same move list, please, no “Plume of Prometheus” move, nothing of the sort, this is a new Kratos. Now what would motivate Kratos to go beat these Gods? No more empty promises, obviously, maybe this time he only wants to set things right in the world, or just pure ambition. That part would need lots of work. But that’s what I would do.
And of course I wouldn’t call it “IV”, it would have to be God of War something, a fitting subtitle. A whole new universe keeping many things that are familiar and essential to the series but done in a whole new way.

heh, yeah. Maybe it turns out Athena was behind everything and she was using Kratos to destroy these new Gods so she could restore Olympus but this time with her as supreme ruler. Sounds like fun.
god of war 4 , is no surprise , any one can see god of war 4 coming. i’d love to see what they will bring in the next game.
I personally would love to see a new protagonist fighting against gods and creatures of another mythology.
They are making another one wow number 3 was good but would could you do in GOW4 u you killed his father, iam just saying what else can u do in number 4. can they make a diffrent game s a third person shooter that supports multiplayer like zipper interactive because i love mag an if the devoplers that makes GOW should make a shooter.
i doubt they’ll make something new any time soon unless they do what naughty dog did and build a new team to work a new game. or maybe they are waiting for ps4 to make a new series.
