Vita sales news from the handheld’s second week in Japan may not have been as good as some had hoped. But some positive sales news has emerged about Vita in a report about pre-orders for the device from a major US retailer.
Punchjump reports that on the top ten pre-order products from Best Buy’s online division, the PlayStation Vita’s First Edition Bundle has ranked #9 of 10 this week “due to strong advanced demand.” The bundle comes packaged with a 4GB Memory Card, a case, and Little Deviants. It will retail for $349.99 and release on February 15th.
The report did not mention pre-order figures for the Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G model releasing on the system’s official launch date in North America and Europe, February 22.
Some publishers are releasing titles such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 one week earlier to coincide with the First Edition Bundle’s release.
Are you getting a PlayStation Vita? If so, what model (Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G)? Is yours arriving on February 22nd or is it a First Edition Bundle? Let us know in the comments below!
Got mine Pre-Ordered and it’s a First Edition!
you save $10…i guess, but you’re getting an version you might not like, 3G. I’ll eventually upgrade when there are games that I must play anywhere online (as that would be the only point I’d see 3G used) or if it has GPS. But then again, I payed an extra $50 to have mine a month early and O as accept.
Also, PSLS, please do an article on what you can and can’t do with Vita accounts. I get my Vita next week and want to know if I can use my US account, but transfers my demos downloaded from my Japanese account to my Vita via PS3. If I can’t, I might as well register my Japanese account into it, check out the demos, then reformat it to my US account so I can put all my free PSN+ PSone games on it.
I still don’t understand why they didn’t bundle it with Uncharted for the release.
Got mine reordered as well. Cant wait to pick this up and show to friends.
