New Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer Reveals Multiplayer Details

01/12/2012 Written by Nick Michetti

Capcom has released a new trailer detailing the multiplayer modes of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, in addition to some concept art for the US Spec Ops characters in the game.

Players will engage each other in 4 vs. 4 online battles as either the Umbrella Security Service (Vector, Beltway, Lupo, Four-Eyes, Spectre or Bertha) or the US Spec Ops team (Tweed, Dee-ay, Harley, Willow, Shona or Party Girl), who were introduced in the “Triple Threat Impact” trailer that Capcom released earlier. In addition to having to battle each other, players will also have to fight off zombies and bio-organic weapons (or B.O.Ws).

The trailer shows that online multiplayer for RE:ORC will consist of four modes:

  • Team Attack – The team with the most amount of kills wins.
  • Biohazard – Players try to escort samples of the G-virus back to their base while fighting off competitors
  • Survivors – Players must survive until the helicopter arrives. In this mode, players risk exposure to infection if they get too close to a zombie.
  • Heroes – Players must fight and defend iconic characters from their side to win.
