When the PlayStation Vita launches in just a few short weeks, it will come bundled with six augmented reality AR cards and a voucher to download some AR games from the PSN. Little has been revealed as to what those games or cards entail, but at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show, Sony is showed off one of the titles.
The PlayStation.Blog has released a video of the Augmented Reality Vita game Table Football (called Pocket Soccer here in the States), which shows how the Vita using its built-in camera can turn a table into a sports stadium. Take a look.

This is just one of six AR games to be packed in with the Vita at launch. Wide-Area Augmented Reality is going to be a big focus for Sony with the Vita, so expect more and more to be revealed in the coming weeks and beyond. If you happened to have missed some of the first videos teasing WAAR, click here to be shocked and amazed. It’s that good.
Looks cool but I hope they expand on it and make it better with more games and stuff.
I agree. Hopefully this won’t flop like the 3DS’s 3D feature.
Pocket Soccer? I’ll import it so I don’t have to see that title whenever the game loads. I like Table Footy better.
so…Japanese Vitas didn’t come with augmented reality cards?!
so I may have just been convinced to get a Vita…I knew stuff like this was coming but I didn’t think it would be nearly that impressive.
Why would they change it to Pocket Soccer instead of Table Soccer though??? You still need a table and can’t play it in your pocket…
