Considering the 3D display, although I think I will wait til it goes down more in price. Already bought the Red Dead and LA Noire GOTY editions for $20 each on bby’s website right before xmas. Not picking up anything else this week.
I invested in a 42″ Vizio 3D bundle that came with built in wifi/streaming apps, 3D bluray player, 4 3D glasses, HDMI cable, 2 sided tv remote w/keyboard and $20 VuDu credit for $698. It’s bot LED but picture is still pretty damn good. Worth every penny. (sell BD player cause ps3 plays 3D movies/games already) plus the 3D glasses doesn’t require charging. I can also use same glasses from IMAX 3D movies cause its the same thing. Best investment.
The display has some serious issues, a lot of people have had blackouts with them. I am returning mine this week since it finally died completely and I only had it for little less then a month. Lucky I can return it or exchange for another one, haven’t quite made up my mind yet. Either way, something to think about before buying the display, do some research to find out more if you want.
Yep I already picked up Red Dead GOTY and LA Noire Complete for 20 each in December. I just beat the story of Red Dead last night and now I’m thinking of taking a rest from that game and I will go back to it later and play Undead Nightmare. I hated the ending for Red Dead. As for LA Noire, I still haven’t had the chance to play it. I thought of picking up FF13 but I already have a bunch of games that I haven’t played such as Bad Company 2 and Borderlands GOTY and many more. And I only beat Heavy Rain once, so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna go through that game again.
The 3D display has been on sale since Boxing Day for $299. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a permanent price drop. Even Zellars (Target) has it for $299. It has my interest peaked, that display has a 240Hz refresh rate.
I picked up FFIV yesterday. I have played but never finished the game before.
