New Trailer for MLB 12 The Show Shows Gameplay, Move Support, and Mentions Vita Integration

Sony has released a new trailer for SCE San Diego Studios’ PS3 and PS Vita Major League Baseball title, MLB 12: The Show.

The trailer starts by showing the Red Sox, Cardinals, Yankees, and Blue Jays batter Jose Bautista. Various plays are shown, including stolen bases, a baseman catching a ball, and a Yankees pitcher throwing a pitch to a Dodgers batter Matt Kemp on home plate. The trailer then shows the game’s PlayStation Move integration, including cover athlete Adrian Gonzalez being shown swinging a bat and throwing a pitch via the controller. San Francisco Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez is shown receiving a pitch to try to tag a player at second base. The next part of the trailer shows the game’s TruBroadcast features, which have refined cameras, AI, and audio. The trailer moves on to show the game’s enhanced realism (“true” ball physics and situational collision awareness) by showing shots of a player jumping over a ball, a double play attempt, and a tag out at home plate.

The trailer shows that the game has unspecified PlayStation Vita integration, a card management system, and Home Run Derby. Finally, the trailer reveals that Sony’s MLB series has produced the #1 rated sports game four years in a row and closes with a message to pre-order now.
